My 1st sturgey's

4 of us made it up to rainy river this last weekend and for 3 of us it was our 1st time. Well we were not disappointed, we caught just under 30 in 2 days fishing including my 1st 20 min after sitting down.

54in 43lb

a couple in the mid 40's

Man I tell ya, those things can fight. I never thought it would be like trying to reel in a locomotive and just when you think they're done, they disappear again. Had a blast and will have to make it a yearly goal now to go sturgeon fishing.

Nice fish Grainbelter! Thanks for the report. I'm heading up there in a few more weeks for a full week. I hope the bite stays strong until then. How much weight were you using on your slip sinkers? That 54" is a beaut!

Wow, quite a bit different than this spring! That makes it much easier.

Congrats! That 54" is a nice fish. They are an absolute hoot, aren't they? I gotta make a fall trip up there one of these years!
