Arggghhh! Skeet - woulda, coulda, shoulda

I'm standing on pad 7 with 21 straight (farthest I've ever gotten), ready to shoot the pair. Call for the birds and break the low bird and whiff on the high one. @$%^#$%&%!!! So much for a 25. Broke the option bird and completely whiffed both birds on pad 8 for a 22. Boy it hurts to get to some of the easiest stations on the layout and fall apart.

The beauty of it is that there is always next time.

I have only 2 goals for shooting targets - 25 on skeet and 50 in sporting. They will be mine. It may take 10 years but they will be mine.

I have seen Wanderer go out 24 only to drop the option bird TWICE this fall. Boy thats gotta hurd (needle)

For the record, I stink at this game, averaging 14, but I am just starting out, so I am taking the pass.

Keep your chin up! It'll happen - and you know it will! At least I think so any way. I've never run em straight through either but have 3 - 24 and outs. And normally that last low house is my ace!

I think I'm going to start taking my option on station 1. What the heck? It's MY option.

Yeah, them roosters. They get the best of all of us sometimes.

I shot a 24 once but dropped a bird in the middle somewhere so didn't I feel the pressure. I shot that 24 shooting low gun and using a sxs with double triggers so it still was quite an accomplishment for me. But it wasn't a 25.

This time I got a little ahead of myself on pad 7 instead of focusing on the next bird. That won't happen again. It's all between the ears.
