Mantrap/Navionics

Was up on Mantrap for the first time today and the map was off about 100' or so. It would indicate that I was up on shore or way off the structure ect... Just wondering if its my gps/locater(humminbird 788) or everyone with navionics has the same problem.

P.S. that is an awesome lake, I wish I was closer. We only fished a little bit of it, never made it out to the main lake. Next time.

Our Navionics chip always messes up on that lake especially when you are on the main big part of the lake. Its like the overlap data doesnt overlap correctly and puts you on shore.

Thats a tough lake to fish only seen a couple I have better luck on sham. this year

It's not your unit, and Lakemaster has same problem. Main basin is off to the SE (in other words actual structure is SE of where you are when it says you are on it), and on West Arm you're out from shore a ways and it shows you inland (to the west). It's retty accurate somewhere in the middle!

My lakemaster is accurate on mantrap. It's missing tons of structure, but my position in relation to shore and the depths I'm at are pretty close. I'm not sold on the high def maps. I've got a navionics with a high def map of petenwell flowage in wisconsin and it's not even close on the north end where I've fished.
