casing gun in boat......do you have to?

I always case my gun in the boat while motoring, and of course the thing gets soaked. Whats the rule on casing your gun in a boat?

I do believe the regs state that you have to have your gun cased while you are motoring.

Didn't Minnesota just pass some new laws regarding uncased guns in motorized vehicles?

B-man, yes they did. i dont know it for betam but the jist of it is if you are in a motor vehicle going to or from your hunt spot you dont need it cased. this includes you truck or car.

You can have your uloaded gun uncased in a car, truck, ATV, boat while you are coming and going to your hunting spots as long as your not going thru a city with a population more than 2,500 or more.

They must be cased in Hennepin, Anoka, Ramsey Counties.
