shells into floaters update.

these are geen head gear over sized shells with flocked heads.. for floatation i used a piece of 1" inside diamater over a 3/4" ID pipe insuluation.. works out to $12 a piece..what do you think??

We have a ton of those shells that don't get used much (we use full bodys mainly.) But we are severly lacking on floaters.

It cost $12 a piece? Or do you mean for all 4?

a litttle under 12 a piece including anchor, string, zip ties, foam and decoy..

they didnt tip over when i drove my 15 foot boat right next to them at wot..they can take some decent waves but not sure on wind yet..

I was thinking about doing something like this as well but I am not sure how well they will stack or carry. I was hopping to save some room in the boat buy using shells instead of floaters.

My hunting buddy did that with his. Works okay, but any sort of wind and you're out of luck. Maybe he needs to up his foam padding for increased buoyancy.
