Cooter
Any preferences or presentations that call for them to rigged with the tail 'flat' or 'upright'? Thanks.
Shawn Kellett
I've caught fish rigging them both ways. As a general rule if I want to fish deep I rig them vertical and horizontal for shallow.
RK
Hiya - What Shawn said... Rigging flat gives a little more slide and glide, especially if you rig it so the tail is actually up the hook bend a little vs. perfectly straight. Vertical is more darting and less gliding. Both can work. Best jighead, IMHO, is a Bait Rigs Esox Cobra...Cheers,Rob Kimm
Shawn Kellett
RK, I'll bring you a prototype jig I'm making right now. It's got an 11/0 owner hook with more surface area then the bait rigs. There shouldn't be any short strikes with this one!Drop me a line if you're going to the AFH meeting tonight and I'll bring you one.
