Let me Preface this by saying: on a rainy day some moisture got into the screen of the player and I've had this problems ever since. But in the past I've had it on during rain where I've known it has gotten wet. And it wasn't driving rain that water logged the entire deck. The unit in question is a Seaworthy 2300.
Ok that being said, my marine radio is not functioning normal. I've let it dry out and now it appears everything in the deck is working fine. The radio, volume and CD are functioning without any skips or errors, but no sound is coming out. It is almost like the radio is muted (I've checked the mute button). I've tried playing the radio and CD player and both run well except there is no sound. I am wondering if anyone knows if the problems is the head unit, the speakers, or the wiring. I'd hate to replace the entire unit and speakers when there could be a simple fix.
Any tips or if anyone has had a similar problem and how they got it fixed. Of all the other stuff on the boat, the stereo is one thing I don't mind going out (I can always bring an old radio on the boat), but its more not knowing what is precisely wrong and how I can go about fixing the problems.
