Cats near hinckley?

We are going camping with another couple this weekend, and I want them to catch a couple Cats, Anyone know of some Channel Cat water near hinckey?

That’s a tough one. I’m sure there must be a few spots nearby. Offhand the only places that I can think of that are that far north to catch them are:

Horseshoe Chain

St Croix River

Mississippi River

St Louis River

I have no idea, but maybe some cats in the Snake or Kettle Rivers

St. Croix State Park. I've camped up there in the past and pulled some decent channels. The Croix and the Kettle run through the park.

Pine City is not that far south, the Snake river in the Cross Lake/Pokegama area holds Channels. Actualy all the way down to the 'Croix has good numbers of "eater" sized cats. Or you could just focus on the 'Croix, I am just not sure of how it is North of the Snake.
