tipup
So after a long 7 year absence from the sled world I am back in it again!!!! Man I can truly not wait to get back on the trails, lakes and ditches!!!! I picked up a 1994 Indy 500. Yeah i know kind of old and yes I was never a big fan of the stlye, but I will take it none the less and ride the ---- out of it!!! This being my first sled in awhile, any advice as to what I should do to get it up to shape for winter? It runs, starts on the first pull, track is great, seat awesome, ect, ect. The guy I got it from hardly rode it and took very good care of it.
chasineyes
Check carbides, hyfax and radiator and fuel hoses. Maybe ready to crack at the wrong time. Congrats!!!!
tipup
Carbides and Hyfax are new. I looked at the heat exchangers and tunnel it all looked good. I did skip over the hoses, great Idea!!! Thanks
toughguy
One other thing to check:starter cord. (Always nice when that breaks about 30 miles into the trip)

barebackjack
oil lines and grommet on oil sending unit under oil tank, cant miss it, its the biggest pain in the arse on the sled!
toughguy
last year my buddy unknowingly broke that oil grommet putting his engine back in his sled after doing some work to it and fried his engine after firing it up.
