I love mine, too, Very smooth. They have a feel all their own, so be sure to fish it multiple times to get used to it. Its not like a Shimano that is so solidly neutral, the Pfluegers are a little more robust and responsive in an experienced hand, I think.

Anyone having anyu problems with line twists on your Supreme reels? It might be something I am doing, still haven't pinned it down yet.

When I first started fishing Pflueger spinning reels I had the same thing happen and got frustrated with it. They are a bit more sensitive to any mistakes made in spooling up or to line that comes rolled with a slight twist from the manufacturer. Try another load of line from a different batch, that's what solves it for me, been smooth ever since.

Quick tip: Gander Mountain Guide Series Tournament Spinning Reels are the EXACT SAME as Pfluegers, and $10-20 cheaper! They're made for Gander by Pflueger, just repainted. Sorry if this is against forum rules or policy on talking about retailers, or "bashing" one, lol.

Tony, if you weren't going to mention it, I was. I have 6 GS Tournaments, and a Medalist and they are all wonderful reels. I also have a few high end Shimano's and I would take either.

NCLAKER----When doing a lot of casting try to close the bail with your hand, instead of the handle. It takes some getting use to , but it did a good job for the twist in my line. GOOD LUCK....

Thanks for the advice John T & Federline. I'm pretty sure the cause of my problem was from casting a small inline spinner bait (panther martin) early season w/ copoly line. Respooled with fireline and using it on my walleye vertical jiggin rod. Working great now.

Pflueger, makes reels for many outfitter companies, not just Gander. Research them you may get a real surprise.
