newbie to the area, lookin for some advice

Recommended Posts

I just moved here as my fiance' is attending DMU for a year of grad school. I am originally from central MN, so fishing is a pasttime of mine I am not going to pass up for a year! Just looking for some info regarding techniques and locations to get me started here. don't worry, i typically fish sportfish, so catch and release is something I practice regularly. I won't clean out your secret spot, just looking for a place to spend some time. maybe i can even fish with ya if ya don't mind! need a partner? anyone have any advice? thanx

Maybe even catfish, as I have never fished for them. Typically, I fish for pike and bass

I actually know a few people in that area in the medical field that are dying for people to go with them. If you need to get ahold of someone let me know. I don't think there are any secret spots the river has decent catfishing, and you can catch big carp if your willing in saylorville.
