I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is somewhere i can get parts for a Abu Garcia reel without ordering it offline or from the factory itself. I have a Ambassadeur 6600 C3 LD and one of the gears is stripped on it. And also if this is a common problem for these reels. I have only caught 3 big fish this year and it all ready needs to be gone thru, that doesn't seem right to me. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Wondering why you wouldn't want to deal with the manufacturer? The pure fishing crew in Spirit Lake are very good to deal with and reman many reels every day. I would call them, they are very easy to work with and could really help. I deal with them on a regular basis and all goes just fine.

its not that i dont want to deal with them it's just that i was hoping to maybe just pick up the part from somewhere so i wouldn't have to wait so long to use the reel again.
