IFallsRon Posted September 20, 2004 Share Posted September 20, 2004 COLLEGEVILLE -- St. John's University will host a controlled harvest of antlerless deer on Nov. 6-7.Approximately 20-30 deer have been harvested from the St. John's property in each of the last several years as a means to help ensure adequate regeneration of the forest's plants and maintain a healthy deer herd.Hunters may only use shotguns during this controlled hunt and they must apply by Sept. 24 by contacting St. John's Arboretum at 320-363-3163.
