Hunt at St. John's

Recommended Posts

COLLEGEVILLE -- St. John's University will host a controlled harvest of antlerless deer on Nov. 6-7.

Approximately 20-30 deer have been harvested from the St. John's property in each of the last several years as a means to help ensure adequate regeneration of the forest's plants and maintain a healthy deer herd.

Hunters may only use shotguns during this controlled hunt and they must apply by Sept. 24 by contacting St. John's Arboretum at 320-363-3163.

Why don't they allow the hunters to shoot a buck? Also, I wish they would allow a special bow hunt for a weekend.
There has got to be some monster bucks in there.

NELS, you're right, I grew up near there and went to school there and there are some monsters in there. One year they gave a monk a buck tag and he got a huge one. (I know I worked on the grounds crew and had to drag it out for him)
