Lowrance soft reset and hard reset?

Hard Reset (Deletes stored data)

BE SURE TO Backup stored waypoints on a blank SD Card before doing Hard Reset!

What's yours doing. I know they tell you to do a reset, but this is just one way to put you off before telling you, you have to send it in.

Boy isn't that correct Chris. I,ve tried another ducer, did the soft reset but have not done any other downloads as I have not heard of any success in doing that.

I had a lms334i, and the screen was stuck on only gps. They told me to do a hard reset, and said that would fix the problem. It did work. I wonder if a soft reset would have worked?
