while out fishing, we were just coming out slowly with the boat,, and I said to hubby,,

"shuggaa-honey-pumpkin-pie.. go slow so I can see if I can get some decent shots of this loon"

got several of him,, and wouldn't you know the second I brought the camera down, and was basically done with taking shots,, he rose up out of the water and did his little wing flapping dancey thing on the lake,, both me 'n hubby laughed out loud!! rats!! I could have had some dandies!!

This is a dandy anyway--pretty water. I love that you can get out on the lake with your shugga-honey-pumpkin pie in the middle of the week for fishing, photography, adventure, or just drifting. Take every chance you can get.

I know what you mean, by missing THE shot. I missed the same shot last summer, because he was too close and I didn't get the lens zoomed back quick enough. Oh well, there will be more ops.
