hoggs222
I've got an 01' Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, V8, 4.7. It idles between 750 and 2000, mainly in the 1-2000 range, bouncing back and forth slowly. Once in a while when I put it in reverse it kinda jumps and kills. Any ideas?
fishhuntwork
They had a problem with tps sensors in those years. Also could be as simple as your throttle bore is carboned up causing your IAC stepper motor to not move properly. I'd get a can of cleaner and scrub out the throttle body first. Shack
Yep, try just like fishhuntwork said a t-body clean would be the first step and then a TPS after. Check eng. light on? Might want to scan for codes also..Good luck!
