Lowrance x510 C Problem

My x510C loves to read 1.6' to 2.1' depth even when the rest of the screen is showing bottom at the normal depth I'm at. Sometimes it won't even read anything on the screen, it'll just flash the 1.6 depth. This happens both when the boat is moving at when I'm standing still jigging. I'd hate to blame it on the 'ducer position when I've tried different adjustments. Is there some sort of update with this graph or has anyone seen it before? Thanks!

I would contact Lowrance as there have been many issues with these units. There are updates to help. Many posts have been made on this issue. Check this one out.

The x510c is a sonar only, there's not a card slot so you can't update the software yourself.

Did your 510 used to work like it was supposed to? If so it sounds like a bad transducer to me.
