prov1900
I have read before that you can apply a wax substance to your snaps to improve the "coming off" and "putting on" of the travel tarp. Anyone ever do this? I need to do something. The snaps are getting more and more difficult to unsnap and don't want to rip the tarp, especially on a long trip to say Canada in about 3 weeks.Anyone have any other tips for this issue? Neighbor_guy
I have used bees wax and WD40. Sometimes it works, sometimes the snaps are just hard.
croixflats
Try running some emory cloth around the edge of the male snap to lessen the ridge but be careful not to take to much off. sand a bit test fit between sandings until snap is almost comfortable unsnapping. Pat K
I have a box of parafin canning wax I picked up at the grocery store. I just rub one of the bars on the male side of the snaps twice a season. It works well for me.
