i have a couple compund bows just sitting around the house and my buddies are trying to help me get into bowfishing i was wondering what i would need to get into the sport

That's easy. It all depends on how much you want to spend. You can pick up a ams bowfishing starting kit at cabela's or gander mountain and it will contain everything that is needed. So i will have the bottle reel with line and i think two fiberglass arrows. Oh also get some polarized sunglasses. Then you should be set.

what is a good lake in the northwest metro to go fishing on preferable around maple grove

that's a tough one cause you need to check local laws pertaining uncase bows in city limits. we shoot a little further north. like in monticello, clearwater, annendale and around there.

i have a couple buddies that go out on fish lake and have never been stopped and my neighbor is a cop and i shoot it in the back yard so i am not really worried my neighbor even shoots with me sometimes

i think you usually wont get a ticket unless you are being stupid and nice to the officer
