LIVE2FISH
I have a shore station vertical lift boat lift. I have an electric motor on it to raise lift. It is the kind that has a rubber wheel that rides on the lift's wheel. When it rains my lift motor slips on the metal wheel.Has any one have any secrets on how to remedy this problem. I was thinking about wrapping the metal wheel with something like a steering wheel wrap. Or putting some kind of coating on the boat lift wheel . Mike89
Chain the big wheel with a short section with a quick release.
Nutty Fisherman
Does it have a bunge strap pulling the electric motor tight to the big wheel? Also check to see that when the motor is turning the wheel it is pulling the motor into the wheel. I hope this helps?
LIVE2FISH
Yes Nutty I have a metal spring pulling the lift motor into the metal wheel and it is pulling into the wheel turning the same direction. I am going to try wrapping my metal wheel with leather shoe laces to get more grip.I am open to any suggestions. Thanks.
