Always love days like today, 5/2/09, sunny, breezy and mild temps, next saturday probably will be 38 sleet and wind from the east LOL

Yup, it hardly ever fails to be cold and or rainy on opener. Last year I got snowed on while putting in the dock on the opener.

wouldn't 38 be warm for opener! last year was brutal. sleet/freezing rain over night, then straight line winds carrying snow during opener. bacon cheesburgers were sounding good, so we headed in to shore early. get to the access, a single boat launch, and wait in line. we're next to load up, when guess what, the guy with his trailer in the water ahead of us locks his keys in his car! 45 minutes later, the local cop unlocked it.

would maybe have been worth it if we had boated at least one fish!!

yup, I love opener, just get days like today or even a couple weeks ago nice and mild, then opener comes and its cold wet and miserable. I saw that at least metro forecast is mid 60's wed-fri with scattered rain, have yet to look at saturdays forecast
