marshmallow
I have been using fireline for a few years now..Mostly for walleye's and jiggin'.. I have at times, ran this on some of my panfish poles.. I did not like it due to tearing through those "BIG CRAPPIE's mouth.. Late ice, when playing a game of "CHESS" with the "FAT-n-ROUND" bluegills, or perch,I like it for a quick hook set.. I run mono on poles also.. for a little stretch.. Sometimes I run mono with a smaller dia.fireline leader.. or fireline with mono leader for a little stretch on the end....
Sandmannd
I usually run Berkley Vanish all year around. I have caught a lot more fish using it. Side by side with a rod that didn't have vanish on it, it out fishined it using the same lure and setup. I at least use a vanish leader, that way it's a litttle cheaper to run. jigginjim
I use firefire on all my rods. I use a 2-3ft mono leader on all my panfish rods.

Bullwinkled
This year I am going to stick with 4# fireline on primary rod St Croix Legend and use the 3# Berkely Ice on my second rod which is a Scheels ML. So far the primary has been great with the fireline. I have the same set up on my two Jason Mithel Walleye rods, one 6# Fireline one 6# Ice. Last year on Mille Lacs I believe the Fireline helped me CRP a 37" Northern. Typically I do not use tipups as I like to keep two rods active, use a rocker on my flip over when I am trying different holes.
