I'm going to assume that you're fairly new to walleye fishing. I would recommend that you start out with live bait on jigs and get used to catching fish with a jig presentation then progress over to plastics. Plastics can be very effective for walleyes but day in and day out particularly for a beginner I would recommend leeches, minnows or even crawlers to start.

YGF --- what species are you gonna be targeting? That is a big questions, every specie can be targeted this way but jig size and type can be very different and type of and size of plastic will vary as well...

i've been fishing for eyes for proally 8-10 years now..

and have started to do lots of jiggin in the past 2years.

doees anyone have any experience with the larger plastics, like the bass type.

i just heard it on one of the podcast so i was just curious.
