MARINERMAGNUM
Had a few minutes after supper so I shot a few flowers at the folk's house with the 17-40. I am pleased with the lens for the simple fact that it needs little to no PP work if I do it right with the controls. I shot these in RAW + smallJPEG mode ,and the RAWs look spectacular. These are the small jpeg images which still looked ok. They were just cropped-but no playing with the colors. I checked the readings in landscape mode, then switched to AV mode and adjusted from there. I look forward to using the lens alot and recommend it to any Canon folks. Shots handheld with a Canon 30D. MARINERMAGNUM
Thanks X. The raws look much better/sharper. Like I had said in another post, this one is better than my last one-but I don't know why.

Steve Foss
Really pretty comps, MM. Sure is fun and interesting experimenting with the altered scale wide angle offers. Lots more to come, no doubt.
