first cast foul up?

has anyone ever done this? I was out on twin lakes on Saturday when we just decided to shut off the motor and drift. I stood up, tossed my lure in and as soon as it sunk below the surface I felt a bump, bump. Well, thick headed old me didnt react and figured it was weeds, but no, it was a bass. didnt make it in to the boat and that was the only nibble all day.

Usually a fish on the first cast means a slow day for me.

I would agree, getting one right away is a bad sign for me.
