Cooter
Good or bad idea to give a dog scrap bones? From what I've heard, beef/pork/venison are ok while chicken is a no-no. If OK, how old should the dog be before getting these 'treats'?
Ryan_V
depends on your preference. any vet will tell you no to anything. my hunting dog never got more than bread/pizza crust. my shepard on the other hand is my garbage disposal. she eats lots of our leftovers, including bones (except chicken). from what I understand, chicken bones splinter and can do lots of damage to the dog. LABS4ME
pork bones are terrible too. Some beef bones are O.K. and venison leg bones are O.K.Good Luck!Ken
Sandmannd
My beagle throws up if he has any pork. Beef and Venni has been OK for him.
