Christopher Quast
Thats what I normally keep too depending on the lake and the bite will keep some 12's or 13's during ice fishing, but not in the spring usually

Moose-Hunter
If the fishery can support it, and there are no other circumstances to contend with (deep hooking, trophys.... ) typically I'll keep crappies between 9" and 11" for the table. About 1/2 the daily limit for the two of us, 10 fish total. That's about right for a good meal with little or no left-overs...

Matt Johnson
I generally keep fish in the 9-11" range. Fish over 11" will typically go back and occasionally I'll keep some 8" if I'm really hungry

Christopher Quast
Yep Matt that is usually my keeper size also if they are hot, but mostly I keep a variety just so you don't take out just one age class of fish.Dan, Hmmm don't think I know you prolly not, my name is Chris and I'm actually a Norwoodian
Kyle Sandberg
I like 10-12. Very selective when it comes to fish being kept. Unless I plan to eat them that night and we already have a meal in the freezer, the fish go back. 10 fish is the max I ever like to bring back. ice-man/vexilar-king
9" should be the standard most places. In some stunted lakes people will take some 8 1/2" fish. They taste good but you need to cook at a lower temp so they dont fry up to nothing.
Wookiee
8 and a 1/2 inchers taste much better than 12 inchers out of most lakes.
Thunder
The smallest I take are 8" out of one of the lakes I fish, only because it's loaded with fish that size...in fact in 2 years fishing it I've never pulled anything over 10 out of it. Ideal for me is a 9" fish...perfect for the pan. Honestly I don't catch many over 10" unfortunately.
