knoppers
I have a 2014 chevy truck, my first chevy. the switch for drive selection, has 2 high, auto, 4 high and 4 low. my question is if I leave it in auto all winter, is this hard on the drive train? the auto will use both 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive when its needed. but I would think that the hubs would have to be locked in order it to do that. I was thinking that having the hubs locked all winter would be a bad thing.
ESSGuy
I will drive in auto only when needed, and usually when speeds are slower. I have forgot and driven on dry roads at highway speeds with no problems though.
Jeremy airjer W
On the older models I do believe that leaving it in auto all the time is reposible for the chain wearing through the transfer case. If the roads are clear there is no need for it. If it's snowing and starting to get slippery, turn it on.
