chickeywing
So, technically, there's a difference between spinning and casting blanks...or is there? My question is if I'm building a casting rod with a spiral wrap, should I go with a spinning or casting blank?Love the tips guys share on here!TC
unfrozen
Technically, no, there's no difference in the blank itself. You will find that casting blanks may be a little more powerful than a similar spinning blank. The blank doesn't care how it's wrapped, either spiral or conventional. Go with the blank that fits your particular needs for length, power and speed.
