Ants in my yard

I have a problem with ants this year. Both at home and at the lake. My home has both the small house ants and the large black ones, at the lake they are just the big black ones.

What should I use to get rid of them?

Go to the pharmacy and buy some Borax. Mix it with powdered sugar and sprinkle some where kids, pets can't get at it. The ants haul it to the nest and that's the end of it. It'll work on the small ones, big black one's I'm not so sure.

I bought a bag of stuff at menards, sprinkled it around and the ants were gone. Sorry I can't remember the name of it....But it worked really well.
