First MN Bird--222E

Hunted Nebraska for years with good luck. Moved up here a few years ago and thought I would chase one this spring. Only had 2 days to hunt. yesterday nothing much happened. Today the toms were going nuts. Had a group of about 15-18 birds walk right up on me in the double-bull. Coolest thing I have had seen while tom Chasing.

Anyway. I got lucky the big boy came out in the lead. He stopped and boom. One shot, baby. ( yea I did not use the bow, I ony had the one day left)

The rest of the birds stood around and mourned him for awhile and then scattered. Not a pellet in the breast. ( thats a first)

I used the MN landowner list to set this up and did a drive by a few times and spoke to the land owner. It worked real well.

What a day--thank god for days like this.

22lbs plus, 9 1/2 inch beard and just over an inch spurs

Congratulations. There are good and bad things said about that landowner list each spring so it's good to hear that the list worked for you. 15-18 Toms...that had to have been a rush.
