norwall
Got a 93 explorer ,the oil pan is kind wet with oil and theres about a palm size amt on the ground. Is it the oil pan seal? and is there a quick fix as I heard to replace is a chore and spendy.
Scott K
This engine leaks like a sieve out of all gaskets, I would look at the top first, intake, front crank seal, rear crank seal, then oil pan. Yes the engine needs to come out to reseal this oil pan.

Jeremy airjer W
It doesn't take much to make a big puddle. It would take ruffly a quarter quart before you would notice it on the dipstick. Dump a quarter quart on the floor and see how big the puddle is in the morning. If you seeing the spot more towards the rear of the engine that its possible for it to be a transmission leak. If your seeing it more towards the passenger side right behind the wheel maybe just a loose filter or a rusted filter (yes we get these more than one would think).
