FM THEME Gathering . We all need a good giggle and reason to smile.

What do you think?

Perhaps we should set up a Redneck FM gathering just for fun and laughs. laugh

All attendees must dress acordingly to title. crazy

Boats must be rigged, adorned, decorated, acording to title.EX: recliners, couches, lawn chairs ect. grin

Follow up photos would be priceless for posting.

I think this would be a real fun and memroable event. Every one could let loose and just let your inner goofs out to play for the day.

Of course someone would have to help DTRO come up with some ideas to appear out of the norm. LOL.. sorry man I just had to pick. wink

I have not had a good old FM gathering in a while with all the moving so I thought this summer I should "get R done"

However, if I am going to GetRDone, all I ask is all involved #1 have a great time and #2 follow the Theme.

I am thinking the location will be Near Redwood Falls.

Date will be in July, maybe the 4th weekend? We can make it a camp out or something like that.

What do you think.

Well by the looks of the traffic on here it wont be worth setting up a gathering. Sorry fellas, I think it would have been a real hoot, and just another reason to get together and fish.

Aug 8th would likely work for me as well, there is alot of time before now and then, maybe put something in the forums from that area SC & SW Minnesota, as well as the MN River forum to see if that gets more interest?

If you're looking to venture a little further north for your FM Redneck Gathering - High Banks on Lake Winnie would be happy to be a part of the festivities!! In fact I'm sure we could even come up with a few events and friendly competitive challenges - for example Redneck Olympics, Redneck Lawn Games, Redneck bean eating contest, the list could go on a on.....check us out at www.highbanks.com - I think it sounds like fun!! (In fact my husband Rick would be showing his true Redneck colors and participating in the events!!)

    • Yeah it was a beatdown
    • Your kid needs to stay with him!👍
    • My kid was eating in Beverly Hills and ran into this guy. Talked to him a bit and wished him luck in the game tonight.
    • 🤔as a recovering machinist!🤣🤣that must make me a recovering welder!
    • As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that.  If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…
    • I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought. Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...
    • Congrats on the motor!  I think you’ll like it.   I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers.  160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.   Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor.  Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?
    • I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius) says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.
    • You're very lucky a troop of Sea Monkey's didn't carry you away.
    • Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe.  I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho.  Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
