Question on MinnKota trolling motor

I have a Terova Auto Pilot and I have not installed the auto pilot accessory, but I can't find it either (new boat last year). I found the remotes -- i have two of them. One came with it, I think and another was FREE if I sent in some proof of purchase I think.

Now -- can I "look" at it and see if the dealer installed it?> I think they might have -- just can't remember.

Not good that I can't remember, but I just can;t.

Any ideas?

You mean the CoPilot right, not the AutoPilot?

The CoPilot fits inside the side cap for your motor (where it mounts to your bow). The remotes you're talking about are for your CoPilot. Try the remotes, my guess is it's already installed and working.

is there an easy way to tell if it is installed -- by looking at it?

Easiest way to tell is to look at the side plate and see if it says copilot .... but on the Terrova I think they attach inside the original sideplate so you'd need to take that off to see.

It should be on the right side and say co-pilot. There should be two short wires coming from it. One will connect to your trolling motor.
