panfish11
Hey i just broke out my tackle box and noticed that i was running low on crappie baits and plastics. Any suggestions for good baits like what jigs are good and what tails work best? thanks!
PerchJerker
In early spring to late spring I mostly fish tube jigs. 1 to 1.5 inch bodies, on 1/64 to 1/32 jig heads. The baits fall nice and slow. In early spring I put them about 18" below a sliding Wing-It Bobber, which lets me fish them even slower but still get a nice rise/fall on the bait and keep it high in the water column. Colors are endless and it pays to switch them up but in general I like blues, purples and reds --- including sparkles More often than not I do not tip the tube jig with a minnow, I fish it plain and just keep it moving along slowly. Bigslugger
Blue and White Crappie Thunder w/ spinner. Tip them with a minnow cast and retrieve. I have over 50 in my box that are all the same.
