azsearch
I have a question on bear hunting, even though the season is some time off.I was looking to hunt in Pine County, just south of the quota area (in the non-quota area.) Well, my question is, is that area get crowded with hunter on Pine county land or in the state forest just north of Hwy 48 Also are there bears in that areas, I know there right across the border in Wisconsin because of the populations drop of people, Where are bears in the non quota area. Thanks for the help
gundy89
We have land south of Cloverdale. There is definitely bears in the area. Our neighbors took 2 off our land last year. Couple years ago another neighbor got one over 400 pounds. I had one come under the deer stand on opener 4 years ago. I think I'm going to try it up there this year. I can't speak on the public land or if it's crowded or not, but I've seen bears in the area so I would think you'd at least have a shot.
