jonny_redhorse
Not sure how old this old busted up, sun bleached, retired old manure spreader is...but it certainly got my interest once again as the snow melted from around it this weekend...if it could only talk...maybe from the 30's?... Paul
Judging from the steel wheels, I would maybe venture a guess as being even older than that johnny. I have one of those in my Parents yard and my grandfather used it on the farm at the end of the 1890's. Classics are still classics. Seeing that brown stuff is a good sign also. All I can see around here is snow and mud. We did lose a lot of snow cover today though with almost 50.

jonny_redhorse
Lol!....Yup ,It's kind of a well known item on the McDavitt Road for years that birders know so well.....I saw a lone magpie sitting on it a few weeks ago but couldn't get the camera ready quick enough...would have made a nice image.....I've seen other old "spreaders" in the bog farms with flowers planted in em for "curb appeal" .....cows must be smiling!
