Day 1 of the TBF National Championship on Bull Shoals is in the books and Minnesota's anglers are within striking distance of making the cut. Bob Perkins (boater) and Scott Bonnema (co-angler) are both in 3rd place in the Northern Division. Wisconsin's Nick Smyers (boater) and Illinois' Britt Davidson (co-angler) are in second place in the Northern Division. Leading the Northern Division, as well as the tournament overall, are Michigan anglers Derek Cummings (boater) and Mark Modrac (co-angler). Overall the Northern Division is whooping up on everyone.

The top boater and co-angler from the Northern Division will advance to the 2009 BFL All-American. They will also get to fish on Saturday for a shot at the 2009 Forrest Wood Cup.

Day 2 weigh in will be broadcast live on FLW Live starting at 4:00.

Good luck to all the anglers, but better luck to Bob and Scott!!!
