bucketmouth64
I have a rattling sound from the engine sometimes when I depress the accelerator. Usually happens when I need to pass or when I'm on an incline. Not a loud rattle, but enough to hear it. Don't hear it when I accelerate from a stop. What is it and is it a sign of a major repair? I have a '98 explorer.
Scott K
It is hard to tell from this side of the computer screen . In all seriousness, it can be anything from a loose cat converter shield, to a engine knock. Can you get the noise to happen sitting still trying to do a brake stand?
