irishjigs
Hey All-I replaced my surround around my shower/tub this past weekend. I also got new fixtures. The issue I am having is the facet leaks when I pull the lever up for shower use. It leaks in the back of the facet, and seems to be coming from the front of the facet. However, I inspected the gasket that seals the water from the facet and sends it up the shower pipe...and for the life of me I can't figure out why it still leaks. All the pipes are good to go, no leaks and all are tightened with plumbers tape.Do I have to seal the plastic tube inside of the facet or something of that nature? I am dumbfounded at this moment...Thanks,jigs
Surface Tension
Use pipe dope or Teflon tape on the stub and faucet connection. Whats happening is there is pressure there as water is pushed up to the shower head.
CarpKing921
If its the cartridge type faucet theres o rings that can get damaged during installation. I was told that turning the water back on can loosen sedimate in the pipes that can rip the rings. The manufacturer sent us a new cartridge via overnight delivery
