Horned Lark

Nymph

Recommended Posts

I was one of those asking about horned larks nymph. Your photo captures the feel of February, er, March here on the snowy -6 degree frozen tundra this morning exquisitely. Some claim to have been seeing horned larks since January and that could be. Normally we don't start to see them until February here. Part of that could be habitat, their nomadic nature and it could be the fact that I'm not driving around much during daylight hours until then. Nocturnal bird watching tends to limit the species seen but I digress. Anyway, that's sure a dandy photo and thanks for sharing it.
