D-Knock turned on my string! What to do?

I have a new Reflex Buckskin bow that was in the car in a black case during the day. When I went to take it out the car, the car was really hot and so was the bow inside the case.
I took the bow out of the hot case and notice the my metal "D" loop is facing a different direction than it was before.
And it lost it's alignment with the peep site which is only about 5 inches away from the loop.
Question: did the string stretch during the heat treatment, or is this normal for the string to do that?
Should I replace the string with a new one?
It is the original string that came with the bow!

jlm is right...nothing is wrong and if you twist it back up you will likely be right back in the saddle. Actually, the string did stretch if in that high heat. Especially if it was an older string w/Dacron. Nevertheless, the material is fine, you just have to twist it up and it will likely be the last time you'll need to fiddle w/the string. Unless, of course, it is exposed to high heat. I lived in AZ and one way you could get a string to stop stretching was leave it in the car for a few hours and let it do it all on it's own. They won't ever completely stop stretching, but for all intense purposes, stretch far enough as not to make a difference once it's settled and tuned.

Oh, bad news. You could just as well throw it out and buy another bow. You see, when bows are exposed to high heat.....

I am just teasing! I doubt that you have any serious problems. Twist that baby back and shoot to see if it had any effect. Keep and eye on the string and serving. If you notice any problems, restring or take it in to be tuned (unless you know how to do it). Good luck!
