Tower Blinds

Recommended Posts

Do any of you use these stands? I have seen a couple, some are made out of a plastic or other element proof material and usually you have to make your own tower. I hunt the rifle season in Wisconsin and would like to have the heated shelter to make my Sun-up to Sun-down stay a little more enjoyable. Thanks for any suggestions.

Whopper - My uncle hunts out of a tower blind he made, we've named it "Possum Lodge". He basically used 4X4 posts to get the base about 15' off the ground. From there its pretty simple - depending on how fancy you want to get. He has a slanted roof and sliding windows all around except the back where the entrance is. I actually don't like the windows, but it sure helps if its cold and windy. He bolted bucket seats out of an Olds to the floor to sit in. With a little propane heater, it makes a big difference on how long you can hunt in the cold. Other than a better view from up there, you can get away with little movements. He has no problems with deer avoiding the stand. Bottom line, go for it.
