Harbi
I am looking into buying a new air compressor. I would like a compressor that can handle any kind of nail gun (finishing, roofing, framing) in the smallest possible package (due to my small garage). My question is: would a small 2-3 gallon compressor (100psi) work or would it be underpowered? This is not for professional work, just jobs around the house and the occasional (every few years) roofing job.
Farmboy1
You can have as small of a compresor as you want. It really comes down to how often it needs to kick on.I have two of the "pumpkin" style compressors. They work great for everything except if you are running a roofing gun. the speed I use them roofing tends to overwelm the compressor after a while. If you slow down, any of them will work. JeffB
I would go a bit bigger, but the most important is the cfm's. You can get by with a small tank if your comprssor is bigger.
