2-10-09 Ice Disclaimer

I'll just post this as a reminder to everyone. With the recent rains and warm temps the ice especially around shore should never be considered 100% safe. Depending on the wind and stadning water conditions many places where shacks have been recently removed are also places where the ice could be weak. Be very careful if you decide to travel by vehicle on any of the local lakes no fish is worth risking losing all of your gear or even worse your life.

Any updated ice condition and lake access reports would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll definitely be planning a trip back to the UP next year hopefully things will turn out better. Good luck at the HOG-A-THON make sure you post some pics.

Ice took a heavy hit today,with the high temps and wind. I was by Smiths Bay this evening, and it is basically covered with standing water, on top of the ice. More warm weather to come.

5 tractors on East today, they took 5-7 30' 5th wheeled trailers full of rough fish out.

The tourney isn't until the last weekend of this month Chris. I will be sure to post pics of any hogs I get.
