about how long do u get out of a battery at 6' zoom?

im not sure but ive had mine on for 10-12 hours and never dropped below 75 % life yet

*sigh* so i had a faulty Cam, took it back and since i had another cam already, figured id get another Vex for the GF. Picked up a FL-20 and right now i just timed it from a full charge it took 57min 7sec to drop from 100% to 75% on 6' zoom

it will drop to 75 that quick but stays on 75 for a long time i think youll be alright

try a diff battery.i had a bad battery and mine dropped fast.but now i can go 2 days of steady fishing on 1 battery.

well i had it out fishing saturday and it went from 100% to dead in under 4 1/2 hrs

You can test it all you want inside, but the cold is going to effect battery life more than anything. I have used mine for well over 8 hours on 6' zoom mode and it has never been below 50%. I always charge mine after each use and make sure that battery is warm before I begin charging.

Same story here.I thought I had a bad bat at 1st when it dropped so fast but it hangs at 75% for a long time.9 hours is as long as I have ran mine for and it was still on the 50-75 light.

i emailed vexilar and they said if i swing by they can do a stress test on the battery and if its bad theyll replace it free of charge, but im gonna take it out fishing again one more time to see if this charge holds better, i always have a back up vex with me anyways lol.

Double check that your battery has a 9ah(amp hour)rating. It should be listed right on the battery. The 7ah and 8ah batteries do not last as long. I usually have no problem fishing all weekend on a single battery, and I mainly fish out of a portable.
