Would a Fish Trap work

Sat in on spear fishing and recently and it was great. I have a fish trap voyager, would that work for spearing. I know I would probably have to get it a little darker but other than that. Is there anybody that uses one for spearing let me know how it works out and if there are any tips anybody has for me to get started. Can't wait until next winter to try and get into for myself. Thanks

It should work if you get it dark enough. It meght be tricky getting into and out of. I would recomend scrap carpeting or something for under your feet and wherever else your hole isn't or you will get a glare from the light comming up throuh the ice. I would also recomend wearing some sort of ice cleat so you don't slip yourself into the hole.

Heck I make a purple Otter Lodge work with putting moving blankets on the outside of the shack

Yeah good point about falling in, only thing I am thinking is I have that trap link in the back so I could use that as the door if I have a spear hole cut in the front, you know. Who knows might just have to buy a cheap shack. Thanks

The House really doesnt matter, unless you are going to be using it alot like myself and a few of the other guys here.

Make sure that you have enough darkness and you will be fine!
