What do you look for on GPS when fishing for eyes & jumbos?

Just got lakemaster maps, and I get great details, but I just don't know what to normally look for - what depth? drop-offs? holes? Any advise would be appreciated for a rookie!

Feeding shelves along breaklines, points, rock ruble, gravel, endless list. Look for flat areas along a break, for example where it drops from 12-30' but theres and area in the 18' range that has wider contours. Thats a feeding shelf. Inside turns on reefs ect.

Esox, After seeing your Lowrance gps what would you recommend... an expedition like yours or an XOG. The XOG looks like a pretty good setup and then what lakemap would you recommend?? Just wondering...

hey there honda rider i had the xog and returned it for the h20c . i really like it and have the newest lakemaster chip! the xog was cool for driving but not enough batt life (45min tops) and you have to worry about the moisture on it. the i finder stuff is bullet proof good stuff ! good luck just my 2 cents

Depends on what time of year it is, right now it's all about the butterfly areas near deeper water.

I prefer the Expedition but the H20C will do fine and save a few bucks. I like the barometric pressure reading on the Expedition as well as the digital compass.
