Storm vs Rapala jiggin minnows

Do you guys have an overall preference for either the soft Storm jiggin minnows or the traditional Rapala jiggin rap? If you use both, what criteria comes into play for choosing one over the other?

I haven't jigged for walleyes yet this winter. blush Time to get out and try my new Marcum!

Thanks, later.

Have not used the Storm jigging minnow, only used Storm swimbaits during open water. Can't go wrong with the jigging Rap, caught so many fish on one (Chrome-blue) on a trip to LOW a few years ago, the paint actually fell off. Gave it to a Rapala sales rep., and he gave me a dozen more to replace it. I can't say anything bad about them, but would be open to try the Storm side-by-side a Rap to get a comparison of the two.

The jigging raps and shads are designed for stationary jigging and balanced front to back. The storm wildeye soft baits have the eyelet moved forward on most models and are better for jigging with slow forward motion. They have the one that has the eyelet centered, but it doesn't really swim in circles like the rapala ice products. It's tail flutters on the rise and fall and it is quite a bit lighter for its size than the jigging shads.
